CodeLand Ontology (World-Biome Axis) · codeland-ontology

Owner directive (2026-07-10), canonical. "THE ONTOLOGY OF THE ATOMIC HOLON — The foundational building blocks of the Codeland universe. Every physical and logical asset in the biome is constructed from this hierarchy." [src: wiki/development/prompts-archive/by-topic/knowledge-management-and-concept-modeling.md:698-700]

Content

The CodeLand Ontology is the world-biome axis of the shared HOS vocabulary — the ladder that "governs the procedural generation and real-time rendering of 'Dynamic Islands' (Skyblocks) for organizations. It translates standard business components (ventures, tasks, roles) into an immersive, MMO-RPG spatial web experience defined by deep environmental storytelling" [src: ...knowledge-management-and-concept-modeling.md:696]. The six rungs, each with its own card:

Elements → Particles → Atoms → Cells → Nodes → Cycles

RungCardWorld sense (OWNER-2026-07-10)
Elementselement-world"the soil, water, light, and raw data streams of the biome … unstructured data points and brand assets" [src: ...:702]
Particlesknowledge-particle"basic units of meaning … glowing spores, data-crystals, or seeds" [src: ...:704]
Atoms(shared card matter-hierarchy)"Foundational concepts or micro-services. A cluster of particles … a specific tool, a basic contract, or a fundamental biological feature of the island" [src: ...:706]
Cellswork-cell"the interactive units of endeavor … Completing a cell triggers a physical evolution in the biome" [src: ...:708]
Nodesnode-district"the spatial districts and departments … the bustling market (sales), the quiet observatory (R&D), or the industrial forge (engineering)" [src: ...:710]
Cyclescycle-daynight"the temporal dimension … day/night patterns, weather systems, and the respawn rates of Knowledge Particles" [src: ...:712]

AXIS NOTE — the third axis these words now carry. Element/Particle/Atom/Cell/Node/Cycle already name rungs on two resolved axes: the FORMS/EXECUTION matter axis (matter-hierarchy, D27: Unit → Block → Sphere → Particle → Atom → Cell → Node → Component → Entity and Particle → Atom → Cell → Node → Holon → Dyson) and the work axis (work-units, DWork's 31s work particles / cycles / runs / squads). The CodeLand Ontology is NOT a new hierarchy of what things are or how work is scheduled — it is how those same things are rendered and inhabited inside a biome / dynamic-island. Disambiguation table:

WordMatter axis (matter-hierarchy)Work axis (work-units)World-biome axis (this card)
Particleknowledge object in the graph ("quantum of work")31-second work particle (DWork)mined/traded spore, data-crystal, seed
Atomparticle + loop (self-sustaining)tool, contract, flora feature on the island
Cellmetabolism (input→process→output)workcell HTLC (payment gate)glowing task that evolves the biome when done
Nodenetworked celldelivery unit (all atoms + particles approved)physical location — market, observatory, forge
Cycletime-boxed iteration (sprints, mega-cycle)day/night, weather, particle respawn
Element— (CodeLand UI ladder rung: ELEMENT → … → PAD → POD [see biome])soil, water, light, raw data streams

Deterministic rule: any card or prose using these words in the world sense MUST qualify with the axis ("world-biome axis") and cross-link matter-hierarchy and work-units. An unqualified use inherits the work-units defect rule.

This ontology is the knowledge base of the Storytelling POD: "Define the story, the details, this is the knowledge for the Storytelling POD and Playbook" [src: ...:690]. Its rendering rules live in sensory-genome and storytelling-lenses; its temporal loop in daily-loop; its actors in datan and looper per quests-mapping.
