Element (World-Biome Axis) · element-world
Owner directive (2026-07-10), canonical. "Elements: The raw environmental and data primitives. In the narrative, these are the soil, water, light, and raw data streams of the biome. In business logic, they are unstructured data points and brand assets." [src: wiki/development/prompts-archive/by-topic/knowledge-management-and-concept-modeling.md:702]

AXIS NOTE (world-biome axis). This card is the world-biome sense of "Element" per codeland-ontology — distinct from the CodeLand UI ladder rung ELEMENT → COMPONENT → PAD → POD → SPOT → SITE → DISTRICT → BIOM → SPACE (see biome) and orthogonal to the matter-hierarchy (FORMS/EXECUTION) and work-units axes, which begin at Unit/Particle and do not contain an Element rung.
A world Element is the lowest rung of the world-biome ladder: the raw substrate everything else is mined, clustered, and built from. It carries a dual reading, both canonical:
- Narrative reading — the physical primitives of the biome: soil, water, light, weather-bearing air, and the visible "raw data streams" flowing through the environment [src: ...:702].
- Business reading — "unstructured data points and brand assets" [src: ...:702]: the organization's raw corpus (documents, media, palettes, logos, telemetry) before any meaning has been extracted.
datans process Elements as part of their native routine: "waking up, processing Elements, maintaining Nodes, and trading Knowledge Particles" [src: ...:722]. Mining/refining an Element yields a knowledge-particle (unit of meaning); clusters of particles form world Atoms (tools, contracts, island flora [src: ...:706]). The cycle-daynight governs Element flows — respawn, weather, seasonal availability [src: ...:712].
The same-day directive also grounds Elements in the scene device layer: "the codeland elements (pad with data) (pod with element of the venture, 3d object, text, image, form, click to zoom in …)" [src: ...:663] — i.e. Elements surface in-world through pads (data) and pods (venture elements), never through immersion-breaking menus (diegetic-ui).
Composition
- uses: biome (the environment whose soil/water/light it is), genome (brand assets as instanced Elements)
- used-by: knowledge-particle (mined from Elements), datan (processes Elements daily), cycle-daynight (governs respawn/weather), codeland-ontology (rung 1), pad / pod (surface Elements in-scene)
