Collaborative Intelligence is the third cognitive-loop behavioral mode of the CODELAND world: loopers (Humans) and datans sharing a single work-cell, their combined output building a node-district. It is symbiosis made into gameplay — the same-day directive grounds the ontology behind it: "the datan is a non-biological specie of being social function and automy, tied and symbiotic to their LoopSeed. Which is used by the construct to materialize all the kernel" [src: ...:685] — i.e. the Datan is a being (loopseed, construct), while the AI tooling both parties use are only heirlooms "to be used, perfected, changed, learned, teached" [src: ...:685].

The mode's canonical moment is the daily-loop Execution & Certification step: "A Looper checks their Neural Ware to see if they have the certification to harvest a specific complex Cell. If yes, they begin the collaborative loop with a Datan" [src: ...:772]. Both partners bring a progression sheet (quests-mapping): reputation, certification level, neuralware inventory [src: ...:748] — collaboration is between certified peers, not between a user and a tool.

Datans hold up the world's continuity ("They populate the world, making it feel alive even when Humans are offline" [src: ...:722]); Humans steer intent and accept quests via the work-radar. The Cell they complete together pays out through the grounded dwork approval chain (work-cell HTLC) and physically evolves the biome (adaptive-intelligence) — the Leopold-lens example catches the ethic of it: "The Looper accepted the Work Cell, knowing that this quiet, sustained effort in the outer districts was what kept the core engine breathing" [src: ...:762] (owner's own prose).
