Dynamic Work is one of Mainland's four engines; it owns the work: Ventures and Endeavors [src: wiki/engines/dwork.md:3]. It is explicitly both a cogni and a kernel: "the Cogni decides what to produce, the Kernel decides how/when to run it — and because each Cogni's kernel is private, no other engine can reach in and override either decision" [src: wiki/architecture/dwork-cogni-ontology.md:76]. Its Cogni is the "conversion of entropy into Venture & Endeavor structure"; its kernel is the DWork scheduler (cycles / runs / particles / squads) [src: wiki/engines/cognis-and-kernels.md:32].
