Content
Remotica is the Communication / Presence OS built over Mainland — it covers Hosts, Portals, and Meeting Rooms; it does not replace Mainland, it adds presence and communication on top of the Work OS [src: wiki/districts/remotica.md:3-8]. Its cogni is "Portals → strict, precise Permissions (interact / see / change …) + privacy"; its kernel is "Gateways and access" [src: wiki/engines/cognis-and-kernels.md:34].
In the cognitive-loop, Remotica is stage 2 — may it act: "Permission gate … A denied Loop halts here — nothing written" [src: wiki/engines/cognitive-loop.md:53,92]. Failing fast at the portal is deliberate: no kernel work is spent on unpermitted action.
Portals → Permissions: a Portal projects a host into a space with exactly the permissions granted (a guest portal may see a dashboard but not change it; privacy strips PII the guest isn't permitted) [src: wiki/engines/cognis-and-kernels.md:102]. RHost convergence (OWNER-2026-06-13): "The Remotica Host, brigns together all the data to build the genome and their own expression, acess, and capabilities in any environment. AVATAR, ACESS, PERMISSIONS, EVERYTHING COME TOGETHER IN THE RHOST" [src: ...knowledge-management-and-concept-modeling.md:390].
OWNER-2026-07-10 assigns Remotica the live-work visibility surface of this instance: "the Remotica with the datans working what they are doing on each loop should be interactible. Theyshould definetely keep professional and direct peer review visible at the Remotica Portals" [src: ...:630-632] — datan squads working live, peer review in the open, each datan with its own account a looper can log into ("you can login with your looper, so you can see what they are doing and doing it. It is the same." [src: ...:633-635]).
Remotica also hosts the Remoteverse: remote-islands where ventures live as digital entities [src: wiki/GLOSSARY.md:2519].
Composition
- uses: host (projected beings), Bastion Identity Tokens (identity under permissions), kernel (gateways + access)
- used-by: cognitive-loop (permission gate), remote-island (its spaces), spatial-site (interactive datan-at-work views), squad (peer review surface)
